Since 2011, we have assembled from the ground up, the best package of capacity-building expertise, coaching, and strategic support. We are optimizing the highest-potential social purpose organizations across the country using innovative methodology proven to solve deeply entrenched societal issues elsewhere in the world. As a result of our work, organizations have been able to attract new funding, achieve stronger outcomes, scale programs, and more.
The Empowering Abilities: Fueling Growth (EAFG) initiative, funded in part by Employment and Social Development Canada, supports social purpose organizations dedicated to enhancing accessibility and promoting inclusion for Canadians with disabilities.
These seven organizations represent a portfolio of service providers that have demonstrated positive impact for people with disabilities and, importantly, want to do more. Until March 2025, LIFT will work with the selected organizations, offering strategic coaching, opportunities for collaboration, and targeted support in key capacity areas to expand their reach, deepen their impact, and achieve stronger outcomes for people with disabilities.
In 2023, with funding from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, LIFT launched the Strategic Reinvention Initiative (SRI) to support nine social purpose organizations that are removing barriers for newcomers, scaling innovative programs and services, and demonstrating measurable impact, specifically towards employment or self-employment outcomes.
Using LIFT’s proven model of capacity building, coaching, and strategic partner network supports, each organization was supported to reinvent their strategies to ensure they had the right partnerships, programs, funding, impact measurement, and communication strategies in place to meet growing demand of their services, build resilience, and achieve stronger employment outcomes - including increased participation of newcomers in the labor market and enhanced support for businesses and employers to attract, hire, and retain more newcomers.

The Accessible Canada Partnerships Projects, funded by Employment and Social Development Canada, helps social purpose organizations form and sustain multi-sector partnerships to scale their initiatives, reaching more individuals with disabilities and extending their activities to new settings. LIFT Impact Partners has developed a customized support package for selected organizations, offering tools, guidance, and coaching support to advance their scale-up and sustainability plans. Through stronger collaboration within and beyond the disability community, SPOs will enhance their social impact, reaching more people and removing barriers to accessibility and inclusion.

In 2015, with the support of Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), LIFT launched Scaling for Impact: Disability (a pilot project). LIFT selected five SPOs who did good work in the disability sector but had potential to do even more.
Each SPO was in the middle of significant change or at a strategic pivot, from mergers and new partnerships to scaling impact and changing funding structures. LIFT worked with each SPO to build capacity through a valuable combination of hands-on management support, expertise provided by a network of pro bono professional service partners and strategic funding.
