Your Opportunity to Enable Greater Social Impact

Are you passionate about social impact and making a difference in the lives of Canadians?

Do you thrive in a collaborative environment?

Are you motivated by helping Social Purpose Organizations strengthen how they operate so they can make a greater impact?

About LIFT

LIFT Impact Partners accelerates change toward a Canada where all people and communities thrive. We work with Social Purpose Organizations (SPOs) across Canada to strengthen how they operate — combining capacity-building, strategic coaching, and cohort and peer learning to help SPOs build the capabilities they need to deliver meaningful, lasting impact.

The Role

The Associate, Social Impact supports the planning and delivery of SPO and technology engagements, cohort activities, and other LIFT initiatives. The Associate conducts research and analysis, develops high-quality project deliverables, and helps translate LIFT's methodologies and tools into strong execution. The Associate also plays an important role in strengthening how LIFT works, contributing to knowledge management and process improvement and supporting the thoughtful adoption of AI and emerging technologies across the organization and SPOs.

In this key role, your accountabilities will include:

SPO Engagement & Project Delivery

  • Support the design, coordination, and delivery of LIFT’s capacity-building and technology engagements, applying LIFT methodologies, tools and project standards.
  • Own defined workstreams and day-to-day activities for assigned SPO and technology projects — coordinating meetings and deliverables, maintaining project documentation, tracking actions, and flagging risks or issues as needed.
  • Serve as a reliable point of contact for SPOs and internal team members, building trusted working relationships.
  • Prepare high-quality materials for SPO and technology projects, including presentations, reports, meeting materials, research summaries, analyses, and practical tools.
  • Support the design and delivery of workshops and other capacity-building activities, with growing opportunities to lead facilitation as your experience develops.

Research, Analysis & Knowledge

  • Conduct research and analysis related to SPO and technology projects as well as LIFT priorities, turning findings into clear insights and recommendations for internal and external audiences.
  • Research social-sector trends, emerging practices, case studies and other topics relevant to LIFT’s work and the needs of SPOs.
  • Contribute to LIFT’s knowledge management by capturing successful practices and lessons learned, maintaining project and knowledge resources, and helping develop and improve tools within LIFT’s toolkit.

AI, Technology & Continuous Improvement

  • Support LIFT's adoption of AI and emerging technologies — researching and testing applications, supporting implementation, and developing practical tools, guidance, and training.
  • Help identify opportunities to use AI and technology to strengthen research, analysis, knowledge management, project delivery, and team effectiveness.
  • Contribute to cross-team initiatives, innovation projects, and other Social Impact Team priorities as needed.
