We’re accelerating social change on a national scale by growing the impact of social purpose organizations that support vulnerable Canadians to find meaningful employment – but we can’t do it alone. We are looking for several Directors to support LIFT’s value proposition: bringing their board experience, expertise in business and business growth, openness to new models and approaches in a rapidly changing environment, along with a desire to see positive social change across Canada as LIFT continues to build capacity in the right social purpose organizations to create greater social impact.
ABOUT LIFT
LIFT Impact Partners is a national non-profit organization dedicated to building a truly inclusive Canada where all communities and people thrive. We address systemic and emergent social issues facing vulnerable populations by bolstering and elevating the right Social Purpose Organizations (SPOs) with one goal in mind: meaningful employment for all Canadians.
We mobilize private and public sector resources to help SPOs scale, operationalize and
deliver greater impact. Our difference is applying business discipline to SPOs that are
already impactful and bolstering their capabilities so they can do even more, faster.
To date, we have helped more than two million at-risk Canadians by working with over 180 SPOs across Canada. You can learn more about the results of our innovative model in improving the lives of Canadians on our website.
CURRENT NEEDS
We are seeking visionary directors who will enhance our board's capabilities and expertise.
These leaders will excel in developing and executing strategic plans, applying innovative financial thinking, and understanding what it takes to drive technology product development and successful market entry. We value expertise, compassion, passion and a willingness to think differently. Successful candidates will join the Board and participate in at least one committee of the Board.
Beyond functional expertise, the Board will prioritize candidates whose personal backgrounds will also enhance the social diversity of the board in terms of location, age, ethnocultural background, economic background and other factors. This enhanced social diversity will, in turn, enrich the range of perspectives that are brought to bear on decisions facing the organization and enable us to have ever increasing impact in years to come.
