Senior Manager, Social Impact
Leanne has focused her career on building and implementing growth strategies within the non-profit, charitable and social impact sectors. Her passion is helping organizations realize their potential to create impactful social change.
As an accomplished fundraising strategist and operational leader, Leanne spent more than a decade at UJA Federation of Greater Toronto in a variety of roles within its annual $60+ million community campaign, creating and executing fundraising plans with donors at all giving levels as well as community engagement initiatives. Most notably, she spearheaded the development and implementation of a model for engaging the next generation in philanthropy and community leadership, which became a key pillar within UJA Federation’s Strategic Plan. Most recently, her work has evolved into collaborating with social enterprises and social purpose businesses, identifying strategic partnerships to expand their impact and reach. As a Global Fellow in the MovingWorlds Institute, Leanne had the opportunity to take her skills and experience to a social enterprise in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, applying a design thinking approach to help the organization scale their impact through strategic partnerships.
Leanne holds a Master of Social Work Degree with a specialization in community social work from the Wurzweiler School of Social Work in New York, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Bachelor of Social Work from McMaster University, as well as a Diploma in Social Service Administration from the University of Toronto.
In her spare time, Leanne is focused on triathlon training and playing ice hockey.
