Vancouver, B.C. (February 13, 2014): LIFT Impact Partners is pleased to announce Mr. John Clinton and Mr. Sandy Slator have joined its board of directors.
“LIFT Impact Partners is pleased to welcome both John Clinton and Sandy Slator to our board of directors,” said Jane Pepino, chair of LIFT Impact Partners. “We look forward to their expertise and energy as LIFT continues to drive social change by increasing the impact and sustainability of social purpose organizations across Canada.”
Mr. Clinton is the chief executive officer of Edelman Canada. He brings a wealth of experience in integrated communications, public relations, publishing and advertising to the LIFT board. Over the past 20 years, John has managed numerous national and international accounts, providing him with a global perspective of the challenges facing the public, private and not-for-profit sectors.
“LIFT Impact Partners drives social change by strengthening the organizations that are on the ground delivering innovative solutions to tackle pressing social issues. I am pleased to join LIFT’s board and contribute to these efforts to improve the social and economic well-being of Canadians,” said Mr. Clinton.
Mr. Slator is a chartered accountant, who has held several business leadership and community service positions, including president and CEO of PTI Group Inc., North America’s largest integrated provider of lodging and food services to remote locations, and president and CEO of a venture capital company, Vencap Equities Alberta Ltd.
“LIFT’s venture philanthropy model applies the rigour and business acumen of venture capitalism to strengthen social purpose organizations and elevate them to be leaders in their fields,” said Mr. Slator. “I look forward to contributing to this innovative social investment model to improve the social and economic well-being of Canadians.”
