Chief Impact Officer

As Chief Impact Officer at LIFT, Sheryl is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the social purpose organizations (SPOs) in the LIFT portfolio. She leads the LIFT work that supports SPOs across Canada to strengthen their impact through strategic goal-setting, organizational capacity-building, operational efficiencies, improved governance, and enhanced impact measurement systems.

Sheryl has over 30 years of corporate, commercial, and financial expertise, in the private and not-for-profit sectors. As a precursor to LIFT, Sheryl spent seven years as Chief Financial Officer for 2010 Legacies Now, an organization dedicated to creating inclusive social and economic legacies around the province leading up to and beyond the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. Sheryl is applying the key learning’s around collaboration, multi-year commitments, and outcomes measurement to SPOs in the LIFT portfolio.

Sheryl previously worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and Enbridge Services, initially as Manager of Finance and Administration and then as Manager of BC Operations. She was involved with the sale of Enbridge Services to Direct Energy in March 2002 and managed the transition and ultimate closure of the BC operations. She later served as Director of Business Effectiveness for the commercial business division with Direct Energy in Toronto.

Sheryl holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia and a Chartered Professional Accountant designation. She currently chairs the Audit and Finance Committee on the Board of EasyPark and previously served as a Director for Legal Services Society of BC, YWCA Metro Vancouver and the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society.
