Associate Director, Social Impact
As part of LIFT’s social impact team, Shelina supports the planning, capacity building and scaling of our social purpose organizations in LIFT’s portfolio. Her time is primarily focused on supporting the Neil Squire Society to expand its reach, impact and organizational effectiveness through strategic development initiatives.
Prior to joining LIFT, Shelina spent over 15 years in the fundraising and not for-profit sector where her primary focus has been on annual fundraising from individuals and corporations. Additionally Shelina has provided expert guidance on developing fundraising initiatives and stewardship programs for medium to large scale organizations. She spent several years working in Asia and Africa where she provided revenue and human resource consultancy to organisations such as Voluntary Service Overseas, United Nations Volunteers and the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN).
Shelina has co-developed publications with AKDN and the International Red Cross (IRC) on Fundraising and Volunteer Management and has sat on numerous boards, including the American Foundation for Children with AIDS. Shelina holds a BA in Political Science and an MA in International Studies from Claremont Graduate University.
