Director, Social Impact
Ruth is part of LIFT’s social impact team that supports the planning, capacity building and scaling of social purpose organizations in LIFT’s portfolio to affect meaningful and measurable impact.
She brings over 20 years of experience focused on social impact and change – helping individuals and organizations go after their highest vision for themselves, their organization, and their community. Her specialties are as a leadership program designer, a seasoned facilitator, a coach, an experienced project and change manager, and an entrepreneur.
Ruth brings a multi-cultural and multi-contextual lens to her work, gleaned from years of working with communities around the globe. She was the Director of the Pearson Seminar on Youth Leadership at Pearson United World College, and has coordinated volunteer programs in Argentina, Bolivia, Cuba, Ecuador, Ethiopia, Nicaragua, and Uganda. Additionally, she has designed leadership programs in Canada, Costa Rica, France, and Spain, with United World Colleges International, Volunteer Victoria, Council of International Schools of the Americas, and the University of Victoria School of Environmental Studies.
Ruth holds a Masters of Arts in Leadership from Royal Roads University, a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Latin American Studies from Simon Fraser University, a PROSCI Change Management Certification, and an Associate Certified Coach accreditation from the International Coach Federation.
