NICOLE MEZZAROBBA FORD

Nicole brings more than 10 years of experience in communications, media relations, journalism and event management to LIFT. As manager, Games-time activation for 2010 Legacies Now, Nicole developed and implemented the organization’s strategy to showcase the thousands of social legacies it created leading up to the 2010 Winter Games, and share its social development model with future host and bid cities worldwide.
Through her media and communications diploma in broadcast journalism from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, Nicole trained and worked in several television and radio newsrooms, honing her skills as a reporter, writer and producer. Prior to joining 2010 Legacies Now, Nicole worked for the GLOBE Foundation on its GLOBE 2006 conference, one of the world’s largest series dedicated to the business of the environment, and the World Urban Forum 3, a United Nations forum on urban sustainability.
Nicole holds a bachelor of human kinetics, specializing in exercise science, from the University of British Columbia, and has several years of experience in the sport, health, tourism and hospitality industries. She also volunteered with MoreSports, coaching soccer and basketball programs for children in Grades 2-3.
