John Clinton


John Clinton is the Chair, Canada and North American Head of Creative and Content from Edelman Canada, a leading public relations company, which provides integrated communications services to international companies, public sector organizations and not-for-profit organizations.

Over the past 20 years, John has managed numerous national and global accounts such as Pepsi, Tim Hortons, Kraft and Kellogg’s. He has been based, at various times, in Vancouver, Chicago, New York, Montreal and Toronto, providing him with a global perspective of the challenges facing the public, private and not-for-profit sectors.

John previously held a senior vice-president position with Transcontinental Media, one of Canada’s largest print and digital media companies, and headed advertising firms Grey Worldwide Canada and J. Walter Thompson in Canada.

John serves on the board of directors for The Power Plant (Contemporary Art Gallery of Canada) and George P. Johnson Experience Marketing and is a past member of the board of Special Olympics Canada.He previously served as chair of JWT Canada. John is a member of the Sauder School of Business Centre for CEO Leadership, and the Institute of Corporate Directors, having completed its Directors Education Program.
